It's 8 years in NSW for a child and they no longer allow animals on bikes anymore . Several people have gotten Ministerial Dispensations however including one that does charity work with his dog on his bike .

LOL.....my young bloke has been travelling with me since he was 5, he's a big lad and with a sissybar i was always confident him being where he was put. When he was 7 they cahnged the law and i had to tell him that he couldnt come with me anymore - he was not a happy camper............so the next day he comes home from school with this spiel, "if i tell the police i was born in 2000, instead of 02 - and that iam in 3rd class, they have to let me ride with you because that proves iam 8 yrs old" larfed my arse off.......was touched by his committment to keeping two wheels in his life. i countered his lie with, "what if they ask you your teachers name?" ----that stumped him, he didnt know who the 3rd grade teachers were...LOL............it was a difficult year for him.

he's 9 and a half now......the other day i pull up at his friends place to pick him up after a sleep over, he's sitting on a little bike - "whats that?" i say "my new bike i just bought for $350" he says, "i talked him down from $420....".......what could i do but load it in the ute....................................

I'm hearing ya cromag, my boy won't go to bed at night unless he gets to watch the Scavenger DVD (oil changing harleys). He knows the models of by heart & he's only 3.

There's no education like HD education.

He also keeps asking me to take him for a ride, feel like I'm letting him down when I say I can't yet.
