G'day again.  Just wanted to pick your brains out there about the easy pull clutch kits.  I've got a 95, 1340 evo.  Clutch can feel pretty heavy by the end of a ride so i was looking at these kits.  Anybody fitted one?  How much difference do they make?  Are they easy to fit?  OR should i just harden up!!!!

Hi mate,
I've got a twin cam 2001, fitted the Harley Kit ($83.00au) and its the best!
1 or 2 finger operation no worry's & its easy to fit yourself.
Just ring your local Harley dealer.
Cheers Sid

hey Wassa, i have a white brothers easy pull in an 01 twinkie, i used to have an SE heavy diapham spring in the clutch and the easy pull made it feel about the same as stock twinkie clutch.

but now i have an S&S clutch with the lightest s&s springs, still with easy pull, feels light.

but a mate i race with has the lightests diaphram HD make, and his clutch is very light, but it slips bad ( he wanted that to happen ) he got around the sliping clutch at higher revs by useing one of those???? Variable pressure gizmose that look a bit like a lock up clutch. it works very sweet for him, but the easy pull works out heaps cheaper.

so we come down to, do you need a heavy clutch spring? or could you get away with a light spring in your clutch? as that would be easier to fit and make your clutch very light,BUT if you have a killer motor the clutch will slip.

Thanks fellas.  I was looking at just one of the cheap $15 kits on ebay(US).  BKRider sell one that seems pretty straight forward.  I guess I'll have a look at the genuine Harley one that you fitted SillySid and see what the difference is for $70 odd bucks..

Krash as far as my engine goes its pretty much stock apart from an S&S carby and slip ons so I wont have to worry about the clutch slipping.

Thanks for the feedback - looks like I will definately fit one of these options.  I'll check out the genuine one on Monday.

Hey fat pete, i know how the shovel clutch feels, the white brothers easy pull i have was given to me by a m8 in Tennessee, it will only fit the later 5 speeds ( i think ) but my m8 said he has two easy pull gizmos one in were the cable hooks up to push the rod, (this is what i have ) the second one my m8 said was more pricy and fits up at the leaver itself on the bars, he said it was a feather weight pull the one at the leaver itself i've never seen one out here but he said white brothers make them. ZEL make a cheap copy of the one i was given most people out here use them.

if you can't find this gizmo i'll try and contact my mate over Tenn.ask him more about were he got it.

cheers
