 My 07 fxstc sometimes cranks but wont fire. Got it to dealer but now it starts everytime so dealer cant find anything wrong. I told him replace coil but think i'm guessing too much. Ideas?

PS No codes came up when it didnt fire so assuming its not a sensor.

Check the battery voltage might be showing signs of dying especially when its cold, I had problem on the weekend cranked over strongly
but refused to fire voltage was 12.9 volt put on charger for an hour 14.4 volt and fired up straight away .

Thanks Tony. Forgot to mention that i keep a trickle charger on it so thinking that shouldnt be problem. Though it is original battery

Have a close inspection under the seat for a loose earth wire. I have a aftermarket tuner and the earth wire was loose and symptoms were the same until I found and tightened it.

Have replaced coil. So far so good in two days. Still got doubts that was problem

Eliminate battery by jump start.
