Just bought one of these leather Jackets from http://bikersgearaustralia.com/details.php?TiD=MTcwLTIyMC0wLTc1Mg==&Txid=a60d589aed1ca1ce186f91d517600e0b Bikers Gear Australia (I have posted this elsewhere also). I phoned them to inquire re sizing, the lady I spoke to was very helpful. I did the b/card thing & lo & behold the garment was knocking on my door about two (2) days later. I thought I was taking a punt buying sight unseen but the leather is real good, the stitching is great & the fit for me is also exellent, (I am a skinny little weed). It has a few bugs plastered on front of it now so it is all good, I would recomend the Harley Jacket to any one.
Further testing of the removable back, shoulder & elbow crash protection devices will not be undertaken for health reasons.
For those in the best part of Australia (SE Qld) there is a shop called Bikers World in Robinson Road Virginia who stock Bikers Gear products. Small shop, but will get anything in if they don't have it on the shelf.
I have a leather jacket that I bought from a flyer in Texas, It is possibly an old replica of a Spitfire Pilots RAF jacket from the battle of britain It has a sheepskin lining on wrists, bottom, and collar with the original Gold thread RAF patch which fell off but has been put away safely. Tonight I finished treating it with just a little bit of lanolin and Australian Leather Seal in a yellow tin that I bought from a man from Australia at a state fair. It was made by Belpard International in Melbourne. www.leatherseal.com.au It works well with a bit of lanolin mix.
The jacket was thirsty but oh so soft............I apply it by hand and probably have the smoothest hands around, LOL.
I like quality items but I like caring for them even more.
