Hey evil try ridin the bike onto 2 bits of 20mm chipboard, decking or similar under front and rear wheels. will still sit on the stand allright and jack will fit. I lean the bike over and lift from the carby side, jus gets under

hi, i bought a bike lift the other day, not sure what brand but wouldn't fit under my low fatboy... but its no big deal for anyone worrying bout this sort of shit, just get a plank of wood, find the right size for your bike and run the back wheel onto it and your bike is higher enough for the lift to go under, simple...

Ok  I gotta ask, dumb arse question i know but,  I bought the jack a couple of weeks back on special but havent tried it yet, Do you position it under the bike with it on the jiffy stand and lift slowly until the bike tilts up and sits straight and then jack it or do you need to have the bike vertical before you position and lift. How stable is the bike sitting on the jack not tied down, i wouldnt think you can tie it until it is sitting str8 on the jack. I have  a 09fatbob and a 01 fatty to use it on, (anyone want to buy a fatbob check out the for sale section)

    cheers

Get the jack out and try it you will work it out ...

I slip it under as far as possible while the bike is on the side stand, then grab the hand grip and pull the bike level and move the jack completely under the frame, then jack it. Easy ...

I put the lift under the bike so it come out either side evenly, put a 50mm (2") bit of wood under the bikes stand to straight it a little, have the handlebar on full lock to the left, then pump away. Once its off the ground I usually put something under the front & back wheel as I store my bike on it..
