your last sentence dicko is spot on . my son plays under 16's and even at their age they are talking about this . i spoke to him about this last night and even he said why are they so greedy? why don't they just play and be happy that they play in the nrl. he said to me whats the point of putting all this effort in now if the game is going this way and its all about the money? one of his idols is billy slater and he stills believes that he would have nothing to do with it. What the fuck do ya tell him?

NRL is big buisness and always will be - there will be big back hand deals for ever, people love there teams and will go to support them - pay there Cash to get in - and round it goes, thats just the start, sponsors want there team to win and don't mind helping out! etc, etc

sorry to say guys... but this is what happens when you try to manipulate a competition. Once they (league organisers) start to manipulate a competition with the likes of salary caps, imported players etc then I am sorry to say that this IS going to happen. So, for my 2c the league management are just as much to blame 

 The Storm showed their guts and professionalism with their 40-6 win over the warriors and the fans deserve commendation for showing up to support their team. Trouble is, now we know the Storm is a collection of the most expensive players in the league, who would otherwise have been spread amongst the other clubs, the win doesn't mean a thing. Give them two weeks to get rid of any players that keep them over the cap, and let them play for points so at least there is a level playing field. 

Phil Gould is the smartest man in sports commentary but for once he has missed the mark. The cap may well be too low but that's another issue - the reality is the Storm had a bigger budget than everyone else...cheating.

How can it be alright for a team that is over the salary cap to keep playing in the 2010 comp, still over the cap, and rob other teams of 2 points that could mean the difference between top eight or not! Not to mention the fact that not all teams will play them twice(thats another fucked up story!)
Something seriously fucked up here! Gallop has come up with this "punishment" for the storm in too much of a hurry without thinking of the consequences for the rest of the teams! Yes, I agree that the punishment needs to be harsh, but fuck me, have a bit more of a think about it!
Either make em legal and let em play or fuck em off!
