Had my 07 Bob dyno'd the other day during a 8000k service just to see what the figures were,   I have Vance and Hines BSS's, SEII air and Fuelpak and the figures I got were 70HP and 80ftlbs, was a little disappointed with the figures as after research found stock figures were 68HP and 83ftlbs of torque until someone pointed out the HD figures are taken at the crank weras mine were figures at the rear wheel so I should be happy.

Anyway was looking at another forum and some guy in the US had his 07 Bob dyno'd with Vance and Hines SSS's, Big Sucker air and PCIII, his figures were 74HP and 91ftlbs of torque!!!. Man I didnt think there would be that much differnce between the 2 set-ups. Would the PCIII get him that much more torque or do the yanks have high reading dyno gauges.

Hi Shfunky... those figures seem down a little. I have Short Shot Staggards with PCIII as has Kane, with only real difference is his bike being 08. I got 81hp....

    The thread is HERE

Kane emailed me his map with 84hp but with a much steeper curve so i get more power at lower revs....

Are your readings after having the bike mapped. Prior to mapping the PCIII, I had 74hp as measure at Frasers in Perth.

Gday Uncle Ho, can't map as I have a Fuelpak with settings given by V&H for optimum for my setup.

    Gents,

As uncle ho mentioned, my 08 BOB had a fairly good improvement with V&H Shorts, a PCIII ignition and high flow air cleaner allthough since having it dyno'd it does run a little rough every now and then, usualy after a long ride it will occasionly stall when idleing and let out the odd back fire. (havent had a chance to discuss with Patto as yet).

scotty its stock with dual s@sintakes v@hslip ons and pc111,got dyno at pattos they are the figs on the sheet ,the s@s was 4hp better than se air ,the doherty is better again alot of exhausts add noise ,but good slip ons like s@s ,vh etc with stock headers and cross overs works better on stock set up ,when u go bigger performance 2in1 systems works better in higher rev range ,length of pipe and shape of chamber is critical to work with extra vol of air comin thru ,karl, stix,rt,have modified motors with 2in1 systems but for stock set up the way ive gone is tried and true.

ill try and get the chart on the forum soons i learn how to do it ,its all in airflow i rang the dyno shop to wats the best performing stock set ups ,i took there recomendation ,apparently the doherty aircleaner will add10 hp on its own the S@S twin pipe was very close ,i had it dynoed wiyh SE air ,it was 83.5hp the S@Sair cleaner added 4 hp these results are common with the particular combos.

You don't get much better that Patto's in Bunbury as far as dynos in WA.....

Scotty.... be carefull at what you refer to as stock.... once you change pipes, breather, fuel control etc it is no longer stock.

Here is my dyno readout... before I got the PCIII tuned the hp was 74

Thanks for the info guys, food for thought, some of those figures are pretty good for stock engines, from reading the US forum most seem to only get past 100ftlbs with the 103" bigbore. Think I might give the Fuelpak the flick soon and maybe go with a Tmax, might improve the figures and rideability, haven't been real happy with the Fuelpak since fitting it, even though other riders that have taken mine for a spin usually comment that they wish there bikes  went as good as mine ....go figure. Thanks again to all who posted.
