    G'day today,

Got home yesty to find a sizeable oil leak from under the primary case. After look'n around it seems i have lost the inner gear shift shaft hole blanking plug.(WHEW!)

In terms we can all understand, the plug that covers the hole where the stock midmount gearshift shaft went through the primary case. Have spoken to a couple of local HD dealerships and they are on the case,(i hope), but for such a small insignificant part it's hardly worth their effort.I  have  temporarily glued a ten cent piece with silastic over the hole and seems to be doin' the job for now.

Anyone out their have one of these little bludgers laying in their tool box or shed they don't need.

Always a relief when it's a simple fix. My Jap bike riding 'mates' would say that you just doubled the value of the bike

Hope that you don't have to wait too long for the replacement cap. Have been told before that if it is not in Oz then it is minimum 55 days as everything comes seafreight

Uncle ho. They will air bag certain things when the need arises. My crank was airbagged in under 2weeks which as we all know is good for the Stealership.

karl... True... but your Stealership ain't in Perth..... and my experience relates to replacement under warranty. I'm also guessing that over time HD Oz will have more stock over east which will help support Aussie owners.

Primary hole plug  P/n  90357-89 which is also a SADDLEBAG HOLE PLUG     MRRP $2

Hi stix, I rang my local dealer here on the gold coast and brisbane and asked about the part you are after.
They said they don't have any but they both told me HD Aust have them and they are $3.45 each.
    Hope this helps you.
