Hello you filthy animals!!  

 

So I live just outdisde of the ACT and now that the weather is starting to warm up, I thought now might be a good time to start getting the word out and try and organise a couple of rides.

Batemans, Robertson etc are all good locations, but happy to ride just about anywhere.

 

Is anyone planning anything that I should know about? 

 

Happy to plan a couple of there is enough interest.

Sounds like a good plan. I will be keen to do this but my bike is undergoing a few changes so I might be out until October.

Who tuned your TTS - was it you or somebody around Canberra? I am still umming and ahhing to get one or another option - one turn-off is that it would be good to have somewhere/someone close by to take my bike to if I have issues. The regular harley places in Canberra seem to want to only use screamin eagle tuners....

I did mine myself. I haven't run it across the Dyno yet, nor have I Vtuned it. I am using a map developed by Karakyan and it runs smooth as. No backfiring etc. Once I drop the cams in though I might have to tune it a bit more.

I am hoping the cams are here this week or early next week, then I will fit them and ready for a ride. " border="0" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" />

I tuned a mates bike with TTS too, so if you need hand, I am happy to help.

Thanks Mongrel - I might end up taking you up on your kind offer if I go the TTS route. In any event, I am def keen to ride in Oct and onwards!

Yeah cool mate - no problem.

Ideally you should Vtune the bike - BUT - my bike has been mapped with that map I mentioned for near on 2 years, and it's beautiful. I changed the pipes and the airkit and the map runs real nice. No popping, and it pulls enough for me.

I have checked the plugs etc, and they are perfect, so for now I am happy.

The mates bike is similar. He has a Hypercharger and pipes - again, loaded a map from Kurry, and his bike also runs great.

I guess we could squeeze a little bit more out of them if we Vtuned, but I am not looking for drag race like performance. As long as it runs smooth, is not rich or lean and has no dead spots etc, then my 65Kg body will be just happy!!

TTS is easy as mate - don't be put off.

Hey mongrel I live in ACT and have a heap of mates that ride all the time. done 520 ks last sunday Bega,the bay, braidwood and home.30 of us goin to Phillip island the end of Oct,4 of us goin round Aust in early April after doing the Byron bay blues festival and heaps of shortys in between. I will give ya a yell n next one hey?                      

Hi ACT,  I can see your   keen for a ride                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               I live down Bega way.   Comming through Canberra on Friday 14th September, to go to the Wombat Rally ,(15kms south of Young) .    Going to Robbo's to get a new Brake Light Swith installed, re recall.   Will be leaving Robbo's about 2.00pm in arvo.   Any takers ???

I put this up in the NSW thread also.    Angry Anderson is playing on Saturday night.   There is also a band playing at the Wombat Hotel on Friday night..  I'm going by myself, so company would be great , and also a chance to meet Canberra riders.   I just thought I'd put it out there,,   Ride Safe,  Regards Mark

Hey mate, if you are looking for a great local ride try riding out to yass and then down to wee jasper and back, I ride it quite often, great bends and turns and a good pub out there as well.

Yeah man - I have done that ride. Not too bad at all.

Anyone doing the snowy ride next weekend

Not going to the Snowy Run.  But am going to the Trout Rally at 3 Mile Dam,  about 20 km east of  Cabramurra. Leaving Friday morning for the 2 nights

 

 

Why dont you check out the roads etc, and ride down to Bombala. The Bombala bike show is on this weekend,  17th and 18th. You will propably meet a lot of people from Canberra and the Coast.  Just an idea !!!

Yep - the ACT forum is pretty quiet, but there are a few of us around.

 I'm only down the road in Tumut go for rides with Chriso and a few other mates quite regular be back in Canberra wed, ride a root beer deluxe might catch ya round the traps one day 

There is a bike rally at Jengellic in the 25- 26th  of Januray.  They tell me it used to be quiet popular. Friends of a mate of mine are ramping it up again.  They also tell me that their organizing a couple of blues bands at the pub of Saturday night.  A group of us from down the south coast are going.  If interested , ring the Jingellic pub for info and accommadation.   I thought I'd put it out there for you ACT riders.
