The Urban Custom in the youtube video shows that the Street got good potential to go your own way with it.

I like the look of them, sort of baby night rods for the want of a better title.

Good marketing move by Harley. Will open up the brand to a younger audience, and if you read the features of the bike, it is made to appeal to the Asian market. It talks about fast turning, able to take on heavy traffic, easy to handle and the like. All sounds like the largest emerging market in the world (India, where the bike is made) is the numero uno target...the rest of the world will be the cream, but not the main market I reckon. TC

Doesn't matter what we think of them. The learner laws in OZ, the OZ wide H-D dealer network & 'nothing' else non-Japanese to buy will mean they Street will walk out the stores. H-DA will probably fuck it up initially, like they often do; eg dealers not able to get floor stock, poor access to getting walk in customers into learners permits & onto a Street 500. But after the initial balls up H-DA will learn from their mistakes and do it right...the 2nd time LOL. Even 2nd time round H-DA will probably still catch Polaris with their hands down their pants jerking off over Indian...

"The company plans to build the Street in Kansas City for U.S. buyers and Bawal, India, for some international markets. Harley manufactures the rest of its bikes in the U.S. and has facilities in India and Brazil that assemble motorcycles from parts made in its U.S. plants."

I dig the look of the little custom bobber, especially with the suicide shifter.

Looks good side on ... hard to beat existing jap brands, Triumph and Ducati in building a good handling street bikes though.

See, at this stage I would be leaning towards a Ducatti.  That harley looks so wannabe copycat

Yeah mate, now you mention it’s copycat. Too many cues beside the Vtwin come to mind. But the MT01 series has stolen a few HD sales. Some old Harley riding mates also have MT01’s. Hate it when they take em on runs, can’t  keep up through serious twisties, nor the straights come to think of it :-)
Apart from the shit flat seat, I don’t mind the look of the PanAmerica, could be tempted as a winter weekender if it rides ok.

If it handles better, stops better, goes faster, is more reliable and cheaper than Ducati and the Jappers then it's in with a chance.
Pan America looks just like Soapboxes avatar picture.
