If you've had a good experiance at an accommodation place which is biker friendly, list it here so others can stay there to.

Times may have changed, but in 2001 I stayed at the Cann River Hotel riding from Sydney to Melbourne, via coast road. They let me stick the bike round the back and out of sight. The clean & tidy room was $35 and the food in the pub was grouse. No doubt the tariff will have gone up since then, but everything else being the same, I'd stay there again for sure. Maybe a local on here could give us an update.

rooms are $50 a double or there are share rooms about $25 a head.

Not the last time I was there ( about 2 years back) , pub had been sold and run by some Melbourne trendy's. (i see it's for sale !)

Edit: I should have added the Jamieson hotel has good rooms, and happily accepts large groups of riders.

    Good stop nice rooms etc

We have had groups of between 12 & 18 at all of these places and everyone was pretty happy.

The best part about being on the road is stopping and supporting these small town business's.

I do get peaved tho when they get a lil high and mighty and try to become boutiquey, we are not latte sipping yups who want to pay big $$$ to have a good meal & beer and play some pool have a laugh then put our heads down for the night. So far all these places are old skool.

    Cheers

They no longer have accommodation.  Pub is up for sale. Tried to get a room in January 2018. Referred to motel units next door. No info on them.
