Are they louder? I'm not totally sure on the dB rating. I had short shots with quiet baffles which sound great IMHO. I would say the 540's are louder but that's without any baffles fitted.

Yeah the 540's look awesome.. They're just so unique. I want them but I don't know if they're worth $1000, considering the bad review on welds.. I don't want them louder than short shots, around about the same is fine, less cop attention the better!

I find it hard to work out why people get straight pipes then baffle. to me that is like putting a plug in a pipe, you need a muffler to keep the flow. get XR1000 or XR 750 supertrap mufflers to fit on the end then you have a fully tuneable system. more disc's or less disc's changes sound & flow the way it is now looks like unfinnished to me.

I have forewards fitted to my bike and dont have any problems with the heat. Ive ridden it quite a bit in traffic during summer and its fine.

Guys, have any of you had any problem with Kinetic? I purchased a multiple items including exaust worth just under $1000. I'm not getting any response where about my order is. I was notified that it has been shipped 2 weeks ago but, according to USPS the items was never ship they were only notified by Kinetic.  Zero reply after several emails I sent. What can I do as a buyer to set my mind at ease? 

Yes, I'm havng the worst experience with Kinetic. They give Zero f@*&$ about my emails. I was notified almost 2 weeks ago that my order has been shipped with tracking number. I contacted the courier service and said they were only notified by kinetic. Courier said it wasn't ship yet. Zero feedback from Kinetic for almost 2 weeks now.
