Thought I might start a music thread, cant see if it's been done before.
Anyway what are you listening too at this moment?
I am having a bit of a retro moment and getting into Meatloaf's "Bat out of Hell"
Having another "Old School" morning on the way to work this time it was the Angels "Beyond Salvation".
Some classic old songs in that collection.
New Dead Weather:
Also been cranking a bit of Blues Saracenos instrumental stuff.
If you havent already checked it out, try Bellyup4Blues, (link below) internet radio station, they only play good blues/rock 24/7. no ads, no fuckhead giggling wankers (FM jocks) or stupid molls with their inane plastic laughter, or fucking annoying Harvey Norman/National Tiles sales promos. This station survives on donations, I felt sorry for them a while back and PayPalled them $10 - was blown away when they sent me a zip file with a bunch of awesome music tracks. Cheers.
If your laptop/computer/phone has Bluetooth, then just get a Bluetooth dongle, (ebay etc) to allow the old stereo to receive the music. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-Bluetooth-Wireless-Music-3-5mm-Dongle-Audio-Receiver-Adapter-A2DP-Car-Home-/161276578901?hash=item258cd54c55:g:-5IAAOSwPhdVINBd
You may need some adapters depending on the input jacks your stereo has - blokes at Jaycar are usually pretty helpful with stuff like that. I bought a Bose Soundtouch https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/all-tv--home-entertainment/bose/bose-soundtouch-portable-wi-fi-music-system/462275/
for about twice the price that JB HiFi are flogging them for when I was in the States last time, which means I dont have to tie up the phone/laptop/computer, so apart from spewing about the price difference I see it as a bloody good investment - I don't listen to anything else at home now, and wish I had one in the car! Some of the FM DJ's here shit me that much I turn the fucken radio off in the car, must be getting old & cranky! There's a shitload of internet stations out there, and a good app to download to manage them is called TuneIn Radio, but there are others.
I was cleaning the rust starting to form on my spokes last night (c*nt of a job) and Hall & Oats "Makin my dreams come true" came on the radio - I had completly forgotten about that song. Great 80's tune! Just throwin it out there...
Out of curiosity, what products did you use to clean the spokes? I dislike having spokes for this same reason happening to mine, besides being a pain to clean in general.
Any music by Foo Fighters or Pearl Jam keeps me pretty chilled too.
was goin thru some of my old Vinyls & found old fav , "Rory Gallagher" ..from 60s - 70s bluesy, slide guitar, harmonica style so was wondering what other bands he was in ,checked out youtube & Brian May,( aka Queen ) was talking about goin to watch him as a young up & coming . Check out "Taste" friggin Great Blues Rock a lot like early Deep Purple I think
I use autosol metal polish - I live on the coast and get a bit of salt in the air... The polish came with a polishing rag and seems to to the trick quite well. Only thing is its very time consuming and just when you think you are done you see where you missed - Kind of like painting lattice fencing with a paint brush!!
Junior Brown looks like Rodney Dangerfields love child.
