Yep and a nasty break as well. SBS does a Dakar telecast everyday at 5 pm

Well Gents we are all very quiet about Toby in 2018. The lad has just won the stage today and because of a fuck up yesterday he lost half an hour on the leader. Currently 3rd but a few min behind second and half hour behind the leader. Go Son!!!

He's in the hunt again, not a lot of coverage on mainstream media, SBS gave him a boost.

Massive mistake 2 days ago seen him loose 50 minutes to the leader before winning yesterday's stage. Last night's stage was cancelled for bikes/quads, so it is going to be difficult for Toby to win this years event. Currently sitting 3rd on the leaderboard overall.

reading between the lines, no doubt he is a talented rider, but his main shortcoming seems to be navigation?
Still don't know how they ride in those conditions at that speed and still read directions off the screen.
I see its been mentioned quite a few times is that following the tracks of someone else is done quite a bit.

No he is good at Nav......made a rookie mistake and followed the tracks ahead and that person was short of navigation skill!

Lets not forget that the injury that kept Toby out of the 17 Dakar has kept him off the bike for a majority of the year and has had a very limited prep for this years race.

To finish Dakar is an achievement in itself, so to be on the podium with the limited prep is a huge deal.

    What a gun!

3rd is unreal considering he only had 6 weeks prep

No1 on my podium in guts and determination category !
