For those that are mega keen you can track the race via
    http://trackingdakar.com/en/stage-2/bikes/waypoints/

Glad theres some other Dakar followers on here.
Price dropped time in stage 2, 12 min off the lead bike. He may end up in 18th-22nd pos after all the bikes hit the assembly point.
    Nav seems very difficult.
However the other best Aussie Rod Faggotter has had a good stage.

Theres also extra snippets of action on redbull tv. Googlise it

How good was the country side on day 3
Its looks to me, the only way to beat Toby is with navigation
    Go Toby Price

He's back up to fourth now about 12 minutes off the lead after last nights stage. Barring accident or mechanical I can see him at very least on the podium but I'll back him for another win.

I cant believe how quick Ross Branch was during stage 4.
Started 45th and finished in 3rd.
Rod Faggottter is also travelling pretty well too

THE MAN just goes to show what guts and determination can do , specially after the injuries he has had.

A mate of mine flew to last years Dakar in Peru and followed the entire race on a “tour” of the event .
Some points re Toby you may not have known
    - he’s lost his sister and thinks of her quite often . He was very close to her
    - won a bike years ago when he was a kid. It was on the Footy Show I think . Fatty gave him the bike
    - at last years Dakar Toby specifically took time out for the aussies over there and was always available for photos etc . Nothing was too much trouble fir him
    - one of the front runners last year was chasing Toby my mate says . Toby’s on the gas and Ol mates trying to catch Toby . Ol
mate gets near Toby and ........ Toby’s got his LEFT HAND on the throttle giving his RIGHT hand that had a broken scapula a break  !!!!!!!!!! WTF
This is whilst going near full noise . That I thought was incredible
    - on the last day my mate makes it into the bivouac where the presentations bribing made . Heinz Kinigadner then “offers” me mate and all his friends to come to the dinner off site on the KTM Bus ( my mate was simply walking past at the right time and KTM loves the Aussie spirit )  . All the grog and food and “passing the Dakar plaque “ around the table you could ever imagine . I thought that was BS until he showed me the photos
So Toby’s a special dirt biker fir all Australians and a genuine modest bloke that is blisteringly fast
My only concern for him is that he doesn’t hurt his neck again as he was so close to being a quadriplegic not so long ago

He’s in 4th in Day 3 so he’s right in the race that’s for sure
