Built this 107 for my client, I hinted that I wanted to do a HP build and he said shit yeah.
    107 ci, 11.2/1 comp and a Supertrapp 2:1 exhaust.
This thing exceeded my expectations and the client can't wipe the smile from his dial
posted sheet here as it not SAE

Gidday folks ... certainly don`t disbelieve but Ando and Lushy if I could put a question to you both or anyone else for that matter ... my 08 Fsxtc has 106 SS ... 79cc SS Heads ... 565 SS Cams ... Screaming Eagle Larger Throttle body ... Power Commander ... 2 into 2 Freedom Exhaust { Independence } ... Screaming Eagle Leads ... and only gets 100 Hp .

I of course realise the whole argument about the inefficiency of 2 into 2 pipes ... but is there really 30 Plus Hp available by changing to 2 into 1 pipes ... or is it also the 79cc Heads combo .

I`m pretty keen on those Bassini Road Rage 2 into 1 pipes but didn`t want to fork out another 7 or 8 hundred bucks plus another 400 or so dollars getting it dynoed for only a gain of 4 or 5 Hp ... but if there was going to be a gain of 30 plus Hp then it would certainly be worth while .

@Tim... Try the setup with the original smaller throttle body. I recon the improved velocity will be noticeable (but I am just theorizing here).

TJU, I can't speak for Ando, but Hoods heads are better than the ones you have, if it is a 585 cam, it's too small for that power and comp. The Freedom exh is better than Big Radius, but not the best for power. And tussuck we used a 60mm TB with no ill effect. Also note Hoody had more torque with less compression, so something was working well :-). Whose heads were they Ando? The 266E cams work ok don't they.

The stock cranks seem to hang on OK really considering all the talk about them.
I'm sure though if you shock loaded them too much continuously you would end up with problems, a good excuse to go bigger when it does happen hey!!

And Lushy, you have spoken before about the 266's being a good cam and yet again you have been proven right.
Mine also has the 60mm TB if you remember and it too performs well with it.

Yep, it does Daggs, I would say it LOVES the 60mm TB :-).

Good work Ando on the o'l mates build, question SE 266 vs SE 255 what's your take/opinion on the both in comparison ? Deano from T/Tec is a guru to say the least, he seems able to extract the best results out of anything he gets his hands on. Well done all round.

Keith they are day and night between them two cams. For me the SE255 I would only use as a bolt in cam for stock engine, the SE266 is a big lift HP cam that likes compression,

I have a different take on most in that I like to build HP engines with a bit extra compression. My theory is that you can change down a gear or two to get ya going but if ya build for torque you find that ya cruising around county roads at about 3000rpm and when ya want that bit extra you are already off the cam. I have had plenty just chasing low down torque but come back later to change it up again

With this type of HP build you usually get plenty of area under the torque curve
