Picked up my new ride and loving it. Removed the boards, raised the bars, changed the grips etc etc. One change looks good but abit hard on the arse. So Im looking for a seat that not only looks good but is also comfotable enough for long rides. The current seat gets abit much and looking for a rest after an hour. Ive spotted one seat by Mustang (Wide Tripper) that looks the part but dont know if anyone has one that can give a referrence for it. Or any other Brand that people can suggest or recommend. Looking for some help as I dont want to experiment and take to chance , just want to get it right when you have to pay out the hard earned cash.

    Nice bike.

As long as you understand thar true comfort will always compromise looks and vice versa. There's no such thing as a luxurious seat that looks great too.
I found the mustang vintage wide tourer really comfy on my last softail but only used it for long trips. At other times I used the mustang sport tourer which was a pretty good balance for looks and comfort but I got a sore arse using it on long trips. And the sport tourer is more plush than the mustang tripper seat you're considering.

Bike looks shit hot mate and welcome. Get rid of the reflectors but of course, up to you.
The seat you have on is about the best in looks. There is a pad you can get which is apparently very good for comfort and you keep the style.
Can't think of the name ATM but I'll check.

Thanks fatbat for the heads up , yes its hard to get a compromise, I had a sundower on old bike and it was like sitting on a couch but ugly looking. Needless to say i left it on as it was so comfortable

    Welcome!

Can't go wrong with a Mustang mate. Use the search function on the Forum and you will find plenty of happy campers. Dunno if you were also considering the detachable backrest option but just do it. The set up is easy to do, works great, and when detached the slide in part at the back of the seat is not really obvious. I have the Wide Tripper and it is outstanding for comfort.

Great looking bike btw, I love that colour scheme on the Softail.

There is another option you can possibly try,  I went to Harley Heaven and tried a few different demo seats out and the one I liked the best i borrowed for a week and went on a 4000k round trip with the Mrs and a few mates.  All I had to do was put a $200.00 deposit down which I got back when I returned the seat.

Thanks guys for the feedback and welcomes. Ill check it all out , alot of great input. Rather get good advice from others with a passion than trial and error.

Ill update when a dicision is done. Besides abit hard in the saddle, great ride.

Just as a hint to you. Before spending a chunk of money on seats, you might try the seat of your pants. As in, good riding jeans. A while back a company sent me a pair of jeans that they claimed were the most comfortable I'll ever wear. They are called ''Gravitate jeans''. They look like any other quality jean however they stretch in every direction especially in the seat and waist. The differance when riding for any distance, is nothing short of amazing. I've since purchased 6 pairs of them.

Have the same bike and had the same trouble with the standard seat. 45 mins and I had to step off. Fitted a mustang wide touring seat part number 76750 and pass seat part number 76751. I ride solo so 99% of the time i leave the passenger seat off and put on my fender cover part number 78144. I think the seat/seats look good, are a quality product, easy to fit and now I,m good for a couple of hours.
