Medical/ Travel Insurance for USA trip.

There are plenty of travel insurance companies out there that will insure you for medical expences while in the US ,,, But,, not many cover you while  riding a bike over 120 - 200cc .... I dont think many would ride around the US on a fucking Postie bike .....

Those that have been down this road,, could you post up the Companies you used and were happy with .....

To complicate matters ,,, one of the guys going has a pre existing heart condition, (not major, has a pacemaker) ... He got medical cover for his condition while in the US, , but the company does not cover riding  bikes over 120 cc,, so back to square one for him .. He has rung a few that cover you while riding any bike over 200 cc,, but they knocked him back on medical insurance because of his pre existing condition..    He does not want to take a punt while riding in the US , as the medical expences, (if he has a spill), could be huge .....Any help / advice would be appreciated ...... Cheers ....

Yes lads ,, everything is sorted ..... In six weeks I will be putting my leg over a 2017 M8 Ultra Limited, with stage 1 ... I was suprised for a rental bike that they would have a stage 1 set up.. But this has been confirmed ... At least we wont be riding around to the sound of a sewing machine....  Picking up bikes at Red Deer Canada ...  One week riding over and around the Canadian Rockies ...  Then down south to USA for one week .... A bit of R @ R ,, for a week ,,, so all up three weeks .....  As Big Kev said in his Ads ,,,,  IM EXCITED  !!!!!!!

Only 1 company in OZ will cover you for loss of excess of rental vehicle for a motorcycle. And I am assuming there will be an excess payable if you bend it.
QBE, around $3,000 (varies with policy upgrades) cover for excess. No limit on bike size, just that you must have a drivers licence valid in the country you are riding in (International Drivers Permit covers almost all countries). And the bike must have full comprehensive cover supplied by the rental firm.

Insurance is an unknown until you have to claim, and QBE reimbursed the $800 odd that I had to pay the rental company in Thailand last time I scratched one of their shiny new Triumphs. We also had one guy in my group that was 70 and had bypass surgery and type 2 diabetics and they covered him.

    Sorry,
Disregard the advice given. I just read their 2017 PDS, and they have now excluded motorcycles above 250cc, so now a worthless company.

I used them last year to take a group OS for a motorcycle holiday and the capacity restriction wasn't there then, so I was going on memory rather than fact.

Koh samui was where i was at the time. I wouldn't ride there. Koh Chang would be different, i'd happily ride a scooter there.
Have you been to China? The traffic is just as chaotic but they are doing double the speed limit and they NEVER have accidents. Best drivers in the world that i've seen.
