Hi folks, I am looking for inexpensive pub accommodation in Cowra or close by.
G' day pubs brings up the pubs but no further information and there is nothing in our recommendation section.
Any recommendations before I do a blind ring around?
    Cheers.

Maybe a bit to far from Cowra for you but we stay at the Central Hotel in Cootamundra, $40 a night and great beer and meals.

The Royal Hotel in Canowindra isn't bad for a pub stay. Check first though as I'm not sure they are open every day of the week.

Edit: My bad i was thinking of Parkes not Cowra, sorry. Ignore the below.

Can't remember the name of the place we used to stay back when i was training the Origin guys in High Risk but it was a motel built on the back of a trendy pub at a roundabout. Thinking it may have been the Cowra Motor Inn but not sure.

One thing i do remember and will never forget is the size of the meals in Cowra. It's like one pub decided to make massive meals and all the other restaraunts and pubs started competing as to who could do the biggest meals. We ordered a $6 full garlic bread with our meal at a pub one night and a fullHi-Top loaf came out with three herbed butters. This was on top of a schnitzel that was so fucking big it was hanging over all edges of the plate and had a mountain of chips underneath it.

Even the Chinese was in on the act and when the meals came out there it was like half a football on a plate.

Assuming it hasn't changed in the last 5 years you won't forget it. They grow the lads tough down that way too, be careful in the pubs.

When are you gonna be in Cowra?
I'll be there for brief stop overs on both Saturday and Sunday. Haven't decided whether I'll take the car or bike yet. Cowra is my half way point between home and my in-laws.

FB, I'll be heading up that way on the 28th April for a week in timeshare at Elizabeth Beach. I figured that Cowra was halfway.

Thanks for the thoughts punkin.  That's what counts.

Mickle, looks like a good place for the future, but for my trip, Cowra is about halfway.  Cheers.

My head's no better, but it's the medications that keep me level, albeit a low level.
