Maybe a bit to far from Cowra for you but we stay at the Central Hotel in Cootamundra, $40 a night and great beer and meals.

One thing i do remember and will never forget is the size of the meals in Cowra. It's like one pub decided to make massive meals and all the other restaraunts and pubs started competing as to who could do the biggest meals. We ordered a $6 full garlic bread with our meal at a pub one night and a fullHi-Top loaf came out with three herbed butters. This was on top of a schnitzel that was so fucking big it was hanging over all edges of the plate and had a mountain of chips underneath it.

Even the Chinese was in on the act and when the meals came out there it was like half a football on a plate.

Assuming it hasn't changed in the last 5 years you won't forget it. They grow the lads tough down that way too, be careful in the pubs.

When are you gonna be in Cowra?

I'll be there for brief stop overs on both Saturday and Sunday. Haven't decided whether I'll take the car or bike yet. Cowra is my half way point between home and my in-laws.
