Hey all, just thought I'd do a little write up of my Hoglight and Hazer LED light bar upgrade on my 07 Fatboy.
I do a bit of late night riding on the way home from work every now and then, and as I'm in the bush I come across foxes every now and then so it's very important for me to see what's up ahead. Whilst customising my ride I decided to replace the Fatboy light for a Fatbob unit as I like the twin light and found the cyclops view ( 1 light on only) not very good at all.
I researched my options and found the Hoglight kit to be the best for me. Cheaper than the Harley Daymaker considerably but more expensive than modifying the standard light, the kit is super easy to install, true plug and play and has been faultless to now (6 months) and a big improvement over the stock setup. You have a choice of a chrome or black centre. I chose the chrome but only marginally over the black. My only beef is I find that when switching to high beam I wasn't getting any longer light throw just a brighter low beam if that makes sense. Short of having an aircraft landing light installed or one of those great truck lights ,I have recently installed a Hazer 6 spot LED light bar. I have ridden twice now at midnight from work and though happy with the extra light that I now have, I wish I had more punch down the middle(maybe a twin row of 6 spot). I Have'nt seen any bikes with light bars fitted surprisingly in my travels so far, maybe no one rides at night. All up a much better set up than the stock unit and it gives me alot more confidence riding at night. Hoglights cost me $440, light bar $200 fitted, and I think the standard fatbob light cost me $100 or just over, and I had to make a custom bracket.Hope it helps someone thinking of upgrading

Good job mate, looks neat and trim.
The depth of light or lack there of is a bugger, I like to see "down" the road. The earlier you know of a potential hazzard the better chance of avoiding it I recon,,,,
There are some specific led light bars that will give you some extra depth, expensive, but then so are our rides if we ditch them.

Nice set up there, I think the light bars will catch on for many bikers once they see the improvement they can make. They have certainly come a long way and are much cheaper now. I know some out there will not like them, but I personally don't think they look too out of place.
