Played around a fair bit with my last car, 4.2 TD Patrol. Without adding extra fuel you won't notice any extra power just winding more boost in, will help cool down egt's but thats about all. What type of car/engine?

Yep and I think that will be the issue, the computer will be correcting the boost levels back to where it is supposed to be. I think they have a sensor in the inlet manifold where the computer will get its reference from

You can chase around on google for map tuning software, not sure if the Hyundai would be a popular choice to re map tho.
Failing that you could get a piggy back chip setup similar to a DP chip - kinda like a PC1/2/3 - but it'd basically be a fuel enrichner and not do too much to boost.

What pressure does the turbo run? The one in our jeep sits on about 25 psi - which I thought most common rails ran at. Not sure if you'd want to go too much higher than that.

Only way to boost modern common rail diesels is with a chip . There are ecu,s available that can be used with a dyno tune , but they are all really for 4wd,s , same as chips I would believe .
