Bike Trailer

As I've gotten older I've found it harder sleeping in a 2 man tent on a roll mat and a couple of mates of mine have been using trailers for a while and I've been eyeing off their larger tents and comfier chairs and all the stuff they can cart to bike rallies and on camping trips.
Finally I caved, I bought myself a Shadow motorcycle trailer built by a guy from South Australia by the name of Wayne Dingle, he's built about 2500 like mine and about 1500 of an earlier similar design plus about 1000 of an off road metal version over 20 years so he's had plenty of practice.

I have the bare fibreglass painted in a basic paint job (I could have gotten a closer match but it'd have cost more and I'd have had to take the bike over to Adelaide).

Or there are 20 gel colours so you don't have to but I prefer painted.

Very happy with how it's come up and it tows very well too.

NB The towbar hitch and wiring was done at Trevaye Enterprises in Bendigo by Trevor and he's easy to deal with as well.

Nice one Geoff.  The finish on that fiberglass work is very impressive.

Not a good time to tell you I have an immaculate Shadow Trailer for sale at $1,300.00, with Bra and esky rack fitted.

I concur about Wayne, he has made about 15 tow bars for me. His service and workmanship is second to none.

Looks fantastic, I guess tows good? Had no experience with trailers but looking at them, as well. Could put all kinds of stuff in trailer.
    "Ain't no spring chicken anymore".
Never liked them before, but time goes on some things are viewed in a different light. Comfort is getting up there now.Guess they come in black as well..

I had Wayne fit a tow bar to the wife's tricycle back in 2015, tows her trailer well, no issues with the workmanship or the helpful manner he has for you and his business

we have been all over the country with no problems

Not trying to bag you, but I hate the idea of towing a trailer like this - Even though I never tried it, it simply cant offer the same feeling as a one wheel trailer (old school) (if you now insist on a trailer that is)
How does this behave in corners, really!? What happens if you end up leaning your bike heavily in a steep corner ? will the tow and trailer pull you back along with the trailer pushing you straight forward even though you want to do a steep turn...? Just thinking out loud

i have been towing bike trailers for years started of with a old tag-along behind a old  z 650. moved around a lot because of the universal hitch ,
soon pissed it off and put on the ball with the screw down coupling went well and did thousands km.
now i have a super glide with a classic trailer on the ass end.thank god it has the old screw down coupling on it.
    wont leave home without it.

That is a very tidy looking Classic Industries trailer you've got there, looks good behind the Dyna too.

I have just bought a second hand uni-go single wheel trailer.  I need to find someone who knows about tow hitches to install/reinforce/condemn the one that came with my bike.  Someone on this forum in 2017 (Geoff3DMN) spoke very well of Trevor of Trevaye Enterprises in Bendigo who has a lot of experience in these things, but he seems to have moved on and I can’t find him.  I live near Castlemaine, so it would be great to find him.  However, if anyone has other suggestions, I don’t mind travelling some distance to get the job done right.
