Strong winds yesterday, coupled with thunderstorms last night and constant rain this morning caused the organisers to cancel the event. Bummer!
Cleared up just on lunch time but it was too late for for the stall holders as the damage was done. Many people had turnaround before getting here or did not stay.

I've  kept myself amused and quite enjoyed checked out the town. I feel sorry for the organisers and stall holders,  plus the locals. Can't control the weather.

I might as well finish of the Bombala ride.
As previously posted, the show was cancelled but in the end there were enough bikes to look and have chat to people. Pleasant low key weekend.

On Sunday I rode over to Tomakin via the Snowy Mountains Highway which included Brown's Mountain and then onto the Prince's Highway. A very pleasant three hour ride with good but humid weather all the way. At the end of I though that it was worth doing again, even though over Brown's the road was still narrow with road works in progress.
Monday decided to cruise over to Batemans Bay and once there decided to continue to Nelligen on the other side of the Clyde River. Having the feel for it,  I continued on and finding out that the road over Clyde Mountain had been widened and resurfaced I couldn't resist continuing onto Braidwood for lunch.  Very tasty apple and rhubarb pie from the bakery made it worthwhile. So back on the bike over Clyde Mountain again. If you're in the area that is now a 'must ride' road, absolutely sensational. So good that I had to ride it again on Tuesday this time going into Canberra to check of the dealership. Cafe now closed but they have set up a good area upstairs to get a coffee and relax.  Then back riding over Clyde with a huge grin all the way back to Tomakin.

Friday headed off homeward bound in good but still humid weather. Once again onto the Snowy Highway but turning off for Candelo to take John.R's advice about Myrtle Mountain and Mt. Darragh to get to Bombala. Stopped at the Candelo pub for a tasty lunch and then had a ball on the recommended roads with beautiful scenery all around.  Got caught in a thunderstorm with hail stones after passing through Bombala on the way to Orbost for the night. Saturday morning hot and humid lasting all the way home.  Called into the Traralgon dealership to check it out.  Not bacd albeit smallish.

As I said, not many kms, but a lot of quality.  Worth setting up a ride using those roads for us who don't get to ride them often.

The publican is a great Beatles fan as you can tell from all of the posters and photos.

A rustic country pub if there ever was one. Just a small oldtime country village. Very bike friendly.
