    Hey
Thinking of taking my son (now on his "P"s) on a trip up towards Exmouth/Corel Bay (perhaps all the way to Broome time allowed)
Now wonder what sensible alternative routes there might be going from Mandurah onwards... and back
If I can help it, I would prefer to get off the Great Northern Hwy and concentrate on (at least patches or more) scenic & biker friendly routes going north towards Exmouth...
I know its somewhat of a pain going north in WA with limited routes , but curious if someone have some great suggestions on this. Dont plan to go off road with my FLH - looking more at routes that are nice and scenic with chances for fuel, pit stops and some kind of camping along the way (even if its not technically allowed (cheap = good when it comes to travel in my book so not looking at 5 star accommodation along the way)
Not looking at hotels or roadhouses for accommodation (looking at cheap as chips in the bush or someone along the way willing to take us in for a night or so)

I am also interested in your answers, hopefully you get some good ones, be nice if you kept us up to date on what ever it is you eventually do, and which route you take etc. I want to take the wife up north in the future.  Good luck.

May have been better of posting in the rides section ? Midlands highway Bindoon to Dongara easy ride road mainly follows the railway line and a lot of wheat silo towns. Spring time quite scenic.

Your could cut inland from Mingenew to Mullewa, Yuna through The Chapman Valley to Northampton, Port Gregory, Kalbarri, all great riding roads.Don't over plan, budget caravan parks along the trail and fuel stops.
