I've seen bunch of videos and praises about these Running lights/indicators for the front made by Custom Dynamics.
    https://www.customdynamics.com/front-bullet-style-dynamic-ringz-led-inserts-for-harley-davidson#productInstructions

Have any of you guys installed these? They say we would need a load equalizer for pre can-bus vehicles, which makes sense; but has anyone tried installing them without the equalizer and seen how fast they flash?

    Edit:
Just noticed I have a 1157 bulb in front, but the second connector in the socket has been taken out....making the socket function like 1156. What witch craft is this? :| Is there anything about compliance where they have to remove 1157 sockets from front indicators when importing a bike from US?

This is what it looks like: Is this normal?

Finished installing them. Look pretty good and the running lights are nice and bright as well. Compliments the 7 inch LED headlight nicely.

Very nice. I am thinking of getting some for my bike. How much were they all up and where did you get them from?

Was US $89.95 + Shipping from Revzilla. However I also ordered the Kurakyn ISO Black grips and Black contoured Throttle Boss and got it shipped to a friend's place who was flying to AU, so didn't pay any shipping. (Orders over US $40 gets free shipping within US).

Make sure you have the 1157 style holder for your front indicator. My 1200 Custom is a 1HD version but it had all the wires cut and the second connector blanked out. I wired them back again to make it use 1157's dual function.

Very clever idea to have a two in one turn signal and running light.  Do the running lights make much difference at night?

For vision, can't really tell TBH, my headlight is crazy powerful and could be drowning any other light source. The led clusters are behind smoked indicator lens btw and if you look at them, they are still super bright, and dazzling without the smoked lens on. I might try and go down one of the back roads with a cardboard and block the headlight to see what the running light's throw is at. :)

Do you have to wire the white cable to anything to get the running white ring lights to work? I just received a pair of these 1156 turn signals but there is a long white cable attached to these things but i have no idea where to wire these to? Can someone help point me to the right direction of where to attached these white cables to? thanks guys.

Read there instructions but they have no diagram of where to attached these white cables :(

there said: determine the tap in point for the constant running power. Route white wire through turn
signal housing as needed. Attach the White wire from the cluster to the running light
    wire.

These fuckers said it was plug and play :( now i got to splice some shit cables into a running light wire? This is hard for a guy like me lol i suck at mechanics.

No it is just a long white wire they said to connect to running light :( to make the outer white ring stay on ... i have no idea where the running light connection is in the turning signals

I had to cut the wires off because i didn't know how to wire them up to a running light connector i dont think i have running lights !

Not sure which wire you can tap on to. Does any of the AU models come with running lights as standard? Mine is an US model which had the running light wires cut, so I added the wires back in from the connector all the way back to the indicator units and added the second connector for the bulb as well.

I would just tap into the headlight since it comes on when bike is running. Havnt seen the kit but any aux power wire as long as it is not permanent power and only on with ignition.

@Kingchops, Finally took it down for a decent night ride. And yep, those DRLs actually throw some light to the sides. It's clearly noticeable when I turn on the indicators which disables one of the lights, then it illuminates again once the indicator is off. :)

Thanks for the update.  This seems like a really good mod.  I may consider doing it myself.  It provides better visibility and also a backup system in case the headlight goes out at night.

Hi I purchased a set of Custom Dynamics LED Turn Signals Inserts which work well. However the Aussie Harleys don't have active running lights like in the US. Meaning the front indicators stay on all the time and flash when used. Custom Dynamics have a white ring which illuminates on the front turn signals and turns off once the blinker is activated. I have 1157 sockets and the white rings do not illuminate, does anyone know how to activate power to the turns signals for the white rings to work as they do in US models? Or do I need to rewire the turn signals.

Just replied to your message Lowrider. And yeah 1157 front and 1156 rear is the stock US setup.
