Forward control years of fitment?

    Check the HD parts site.  There are forward control kits available.  The kits should tell you what years they will fit.  You can then apply this to what year bikes your controls will fit.

    I swapped my forwards from the 48 to mids from an 883. Not sure if the latest revision changed anything again, but the restricting factor for me was ABS vs non ABS.

    The difference is the brake pushrod, the newer one is shorter and does not have a rose joint on the end, it slides into a socket on the brake master cylinder then a clevis pin holds it in place.
    You can make the older model fit the new bikes by simply cutting about an inch off the brake rod (including the rose joint) then drilling a small hole for the clevis pin. This is exactly what I did, I now have a spare brake rod to fit the newer models.
