I like them. I see a 114 fat bob in my future. Headlight is ugly but the rest of the bike looks good to me.
I'll be waiting for a secondhand one mind you, Harley's are just way too expensive new.

Never thought my 2014 dyna would become a collectible that quickly. But then again i also didnt thing an entire line of new harleys could be that ugly either. What the hell were they smoking

The biggest killer for me is removing dynas. Took out their best bikes. I wont be buying another harley if this is the way they go.

Me, I'm gonna wait till I visit a Harley shop and see these new models in the flesh rather than relying on pictures before I pass any judgement. I must be one of the lucky ones. When I bought my 2016 Slim it was always going to be a keeper. Don't have to worry about trading up, What mine is worth etc etc. I've never needed the newest, fastest, flashiest bike out there....I'm just happy with the one i got. More interested in when the weather's gonna turn a bit warmer in ADL so I can get mine out of that bloody shed.

I think they are overpriced. 'Latest years' Fat Bob was $25450, now it's over $27000. The Street Glide Special has gone up nearly $2000. Why? I assume that HD Australia is confident they can keep good sales numbers so why not add a bit more. Am I wrong? Higher spec Jap and Euro bikes are going for higher prices these days, but they are dripping with tech etc ... not so much HD. Perhaps too, HD aren't feeling too threatened by Indian.

Well, everything I've looked at doesn't really float my boat, but will reserve judgement until I've had a look at them at the dealers.

Will stick with the springer for now but interested to have a ride on a M8.

a lot of review vids coming out on youtube etc.

From all reports they are excellent. Everyone commenting on how smooth the engine is and braking is adequate even on the single rotor models.

Adequate meaning "what they should be"

I have twin disk on my bike, I only ever use one finger.

My sporty was single disc, with XR1200 caliper..... I could do a fucken stoppie with that bike

    Get some stronger fingers haha

    Gday,
I've had a look at the 2018 line up. I think hd should have left the dyna softail alone and brang out some of these new m8s as a special model ect. If you want one order one?
I've owed 5 hd all fxdf that's all I ride an like.
Riden other models but the fatbob is me.
The 2018 fatbob is 7/10 not bad plenty + -
I love my bike because it sounds like a beast the 103 shakes and barks she's got chrome black denim paint looks mean. It has character!
The 2018 NO chrome wtf, shit exhaust, the m8 is to smooth for me that's why I ride a dyna? 13ltr tank ? No good it's a cruiser hello.
    I won't be buying one.

About the 13ltr tank, these things are way more fuel efficient than the Twin cams.

    Interesting theory. Could be right.
For mine, I think they just wanted to simplify two lines (Softails & Dyna's) into one and keep most of the best selling sub-types. The Sporty's will probably have the same 'rationalisation' happen at some point (new engine, pending Euro 4/5?), and a new line or two in the pipeline. Perhaps electric. All guesses at this point.
The Fat Bob remains a bit more of a different platform; still think making the fuel tank smaller and not including the new digital speedo was short sighted but here we are.

Interested to see how they retained the vibes in the new Softy's.

13 is enough, I suppose, but plenty places I'd like to ride where closer to 18 does the job.

I have got 275K's from a full tank with 2 Ltr left at the garage 2004 TC
this has not stopped me touring , but I do think a bigger tank would have been nice

Canberra harley got 4 new model bikes, better in the flesh, the fat bob looks ok but the mount for the number plate and tail light has to go. Only way to describe it is a bolt on bumper bar that sits just slightly high of the centre of the rear wheel, headlight is better in person and the 114 m8 is stil the main focus and still looks harley.

...what, you don't like the Fat Bob that looks like it was rear ended? Yes, I gotta see it in the flesh but I only dig the 114 engine (in theory).

The one I saw had the tail light and number plate below the rear guard on a separate bar bolted to the swingarm, looked like a bumper bar pointing about 10 o'clock bit like an after thought but the overall look was good

Saw the Fatbob in the flesh today.
As above comment, it had the fender setup off the swingarm with plate etc.

Couldnt demo it but it felt light to move around. Forks look sick but I'd prefer them narrower and with 9 spoke mags.

Bet it'd go like a rocket.
