New Harley, the new generation of owners.

I chanced on a new Harley owner yesterday in Hobart.
Nothing new about that, perhaps apart from the transport he used to pick up a new Harley Street 500.

Blew me away, pleasantly. I'm pleased this is the new way into HD ownership.
The young fella was stoked with his new wheels and rightfully so.

I nearly ran over the bloke on the left as I saw the scene before me. Made my day.

Good onya to the new owner, I hope all your tomorrows bring grins on the HD Street.

There you go. That's a living breathing example of that so-called younger generation that Harley is trying desperately to sign up.
An elusive beast, apparently. I'm glad you took a pic. Hope he loves the ride.

Mate, if the weather was like Northern climate, I woulda moved there years ago.
Is such a beautiful pristine and unfucked place, with roads to die for. I rode em too, long time ago.(Gutzi) Roads are for motorcycles.

I'm talking a young bloke into a Street at the moment, he wants to get his L's and was asking me about what bikes he can own, said he wants to get a Harley when he is allowed to ride one, I say "Well you can get one now as a matter of fact" he was stocked about it.

    See how it pans out.

Lived in Tassie twice, unfortunately was to bloody busy studying to see much of it :(

    Cheers

A lot of people don't realise they can A) get a LAMS Harley and B) that they're actually very affordable, especially when compared to the jap cruisers.
Just for shits and giggles, I looked at the new Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha cruisers and was surprised to find the Harley either cheaper or very similarly priced.
I personally have always liked Harleys, particularly the sportsters but every time I went near a dealership, they'd push the Fatboy on me. It wasn't until recently that I decided fuck it, and bought a used Superlow, and because I go the superlow, a few mates are looking at the street rod and sportsters.

The funny thing is, now that the 2018 softails have been released, I'm seriously considering a Fatboy or my personal favourite, the Fat bob.

Was in Canberra over the weekend. (my annual taste of the floriade)
Dropped into another brand dealer (mate had issues with his bike) and the manager showed me a list of LAMS approved bikes in the ACT including MANY MANY Harleys. BIG and SMALL. Check it out
