Went into local dealer today to check out some of the latest models. Had a wicked cvo ultra in there bit above my price bracket tho. Had a look at the new fatty which looks awful on the internet but what a difference in the flesh. Lovely looking and very fat as one would expect. I couldn't get over how light it was and how easy it came off the side stand. Most impressed and will be taking one for a test ride in due course. Very tempted indeed. If you haven't done so already do yourself a favor and have a look at the new models   so much nicer in the flesh.

I agree, the pics don't do it justice. I saw one in the metal the other day and I reckon they look great. Headlight looks weird but in the new range of models it seems right. Like it's a modern day interpretation of a classic model. Those wheels are wild!!

Dealer tells me the brushed look is another EPA thing because chroming is a very polluting process. I just thought I'd would be cheaper, any thoughts ?

I think the dealer is so skilled at spruking bullshit that they should be teaching bullshit for a masters in bullshit.

I'd agree the fatboy looks good in the flesh. The Low Rider also looks pretty good.

I'm wondering what the train of thought is for putting a 13 litre fuel tank on the breakout and street bob tho. Range limited to about 150klms I would expect.

Smaller tank is cheaper to make, looks better, less weight, more money to be made when people buy the bigger tank as an upgrade.

Shows you how lazy some sales people are....dropped into Sunshine Coast Harley who did not have a new fatboy on display but the sales guy took my details promising to call me when it came in.........waiting, waiting so slipped in this morning to see it there as a demo. No call no assistance offered as i looked at it for perhaps 15 or so odd minutes with a few sales guys not even making eye contact. Interesting sales technique..LOL

You know, that's what I said to the missus too - "I'd have to buy a bigger tank for that for it to be useful".

I'd question the looks better comment, they kinda look like borrowed sportster tanks tbh. Looks are very subjective however so it's probably my personal taste.

Tank was designed on looks not function, it flows well with the design of the bike but I think the new frame has a thicker spine to make it more rigid and thats where most of the volume went.

Old mate at the local dealer took the breakout for a lengthy coastal spin and rode fairly hard. He tells me the bike was very economical on the run. The size of the tank wasn't an issue apparently. Maybe dont need the bigger tank   doesn't look too bad on the bike i didn't think. A lot better than in the pics.

Ha ha, it seems everyone agrees that we should all buy these new models but never take any pics of them! Great?
