Went into local dealer today to check out some of the latest models. Had a wicked cvo ultra in there bit above my price bracket tho. Had a look at the new fatty which looks awful on the internet but what a difference in the flesh. Lovely looking and very fat as one would expect. I couldn't get over how light it was and how easy it came off the side stand. Most impressed and will be taking one for a test ride in due course. Very tempted indeed. If you haven't done so already do yourself a favor and have a look at the new models   so much nicer in the flesh.

I'd agree the fatboy looks good in the flesh. The Low Rider also looks pretty good.
I'm wondering what the train of thought is for putting a 13 litre fuel tank on the breakout and street bob tho. Range limited to about 150klms I would expect.

Shows you how lazy some sales people are....dropped into Sunshine Coast Harley who did not have a new fatboy on display but the sales guy took my details promising to call me when it came in.........waiting, waiting so slipped in this morning to see it there as a demo. No call no assistance offered as i looked at it for perhaps 15 or so odd minutes with a few sales guys not even making eye contact. Interesting sales technique..LOL

Tank was designed on looks not function, it flows well with the design of the bike but I think the new frame has a thicker spine to make it more rigid and thats where most of the volume went.

Old mate at the local dealer took the breakout for a lengthy coastal spin and rode fairly hard. He tells me the bike was very economical on the run. The size of the tank wasn't an issue apparently. Maybe dont need the bigger tank   doesn't look too bad on the bike i didn't think. A lot better than in the pics.

Of all the 2018's i reckon the Fatboy looks great. Be looking fwd to dropping into HH to have a gander and see how good it looks in the flesh as they always look better up close than any pic.

Hate to poop the party but isn't this post about Fatboys. Having a test ride this week, Jeeze I'm hoping it's good or I'll be locked in Dyna twin cam world forever.  Hm, maybe that's a great place to be.

The photo does not do it justice, 2d picture does not show all its glory. It looked amazing in th sun thats why I was standing back to avoid drool marks on the paint, sort of the same thing with the original post you have to judge the new models in person dont rely on the picctures you have seen.

HD have done a bang up job on the Fatboy. In wicked red and twisted cherry this thing looks the beast. Just so good from all angles.

That finish that has replaced the chrome is really bloody nice. Shame Crop-duster you've had bad experiences with your dealer. At HH Adelaide only had excellent service from day 1. Could not complain at all. Now that Fatboy......mmmm wonder if the Wife would notice?
