    Hi Fellas,
has any person had any experience with one of these windbreaker things.

    Why WindBreakerCo Works
By definition all motorcycle windscreens try to screen the rider from the wind. They seek to fulfil the very important objective of rider comfort by removing the wind pressure and buffeting on the rider, particularly at freeway cruising speeds.
The laws of aerodynamics determine that a motorbike with a windscreen moving forward will block the wind from the rider but in moving forward creates greater air pressure in front of the screen and lesser air pressure behind the screen, which causes the air to rush in behind the screen to fill the lower pressure area. The air that rushes in to fill the lower pressure void is ‘disturbed’ air that swirls and rolls buffeting the rider, particularly his head.
    Windbreakerco air flow
The Windbreakerco windscreen system automatically fills the vacuum behind the windscreen delivering smooth air to the rider.
Like all great ideas it is very simple. An air gap is created under the lower edge of the windscreen allowing pressurised air to flow uniformly under and behind the windscreen, equalising the air pressure behind the windscreen and eliminating the swirling and rolling air that buffets the rider’s head.
The Windbreakerco system is simple and effective – it eliminates the need to rush out and buy a whole new windscreen. Simply mount the Windbreakerco air deflector plate system into the existing mounting of your Harley Davidson’s fairing, and fix your windscreen to the air deflector plate.
“The whole mounting process will take less than five minutes.”
To truly appreciate the difference a Windbreakerco mounting makes, simply install a Windbreakerco system and take it for a ride. Then remove the Windbreakerco deflector plate system and remount your windscreen into the Harley Davidson fairing before taking it out for another ride. We guarantee that with the Windbreakerco system you will feel calmer air and greater rider comfort behind your windscreen.
Of course, you will also experience better music quality from your sound system speakers particularly at higher speeds as the calmer air behind your windscreen lowers the distortion of the sound waves as well.

A little different i know but these work on the same principle   i use one on my fatty and it works a treat. Open and shut that oblong hatch and makes the world of difference to buffeting.

Hey guys just an personal point of view / review of Windbreaker unit ... got to try a demo unit for my 2017 Road Glide Special ... really thought the theory was sound and always keen to help along locally made products when possible .

Anyhow few weeks back now bought a brand new 17 Road Glide Special to add to the collection ... it had on the non existence little 4 inch screen , does nothing except look good ... IMO , of course ... all the stock parts came with bike so put the original screen back on ... I think they are 7 or 8 inches , someone may be able to confirm that ... anyhow absolutely awful , the turbulence it created was shocking ... I should point out I have a somewhat long beard ... well it got to a point that I thought I better shave the beard off ... stuff that , put back on short screen and hey presto , no turbulence ... well nothing that made me think I needed a shave at least .

Read the post by Odin and thought should give them a go at least and also found that the company was here in Brisbane and as mentioned above got to Demo one .

So for the Bad news ... installed their unit and put back on the taller screen thinking the theory would work but sadly no good whatsoever , didn`t make any difference at all ... I cant think there was anything I could have done wrong as it is a pretty straight forward procedure to fit them but no better at all , back to being whipped in the face by my own beard and heaps of turbulence .

Now there was also one other serious bad side effect ... and I must stress this only would apply to people who had bars simular to mine ... what happened was when reversing and turning at the same time , wether it be in a parking spot or at home , where this nearly happened to me , reversing and turning coming out of the garage the front brake leaver jams against the unit and locks the front wheel and if you are not ready it can catch you off guard and you can nearly drop the bike as you are looking over your shoulder watching where you are going ... these Road Glides are not light let me tell ya ... didn`t drop her but it was a near thing .

Again extremely important that I don`t believe this situation would arise with Standard bars or lower bars or higher bars ... mine just so happened to line up exactly with the unit and the brake leaver when turning the bars to full lock when reversing .

Would have loved for these units to work as they are made well , look good on bike , and are made locally , but for me they didn`t work I'm afraid ... a little over priced also I think at $ 678  ... would love to hear any other peoples experiences .
