not starting when hot

Hi guys I have a 2016 fatboy s this has happened a couple times.now after riding I stop turn it off and then while hot I turn it straight back on try start it it doesn't fire up, starter motor cranks over but it doesn't start. sounds like it's not getting fuel.
If I let it cool down for few minutes it starts up straight away
any advise guys

Hi mate I brought it off the stealership as a demo bike came with v&h big radius exhaust, se heavy breather and se super pro tuner they told me it had been re mapped already.

Your bike needs the 621 strategy update.
in the "S" models, HD forgot to switch the ACR's to on believe it or not. Even toggling them in SERT/Powervision etc does nothing.
When the update is done, you will hear a audible "click" when the ACR is engaged.
There really should be a recall on this, HD Usa has done one but nothing here.
Once the update is done, the bike will start like it's on a jumper pack.

I did mine via Powervision. Dynojet or Fuel moto can convert your current tune to 621 spec.
As for SERT. Last time I checked 621 wasn't out for "stage 1" but there was a "stock" map floating around. You could in theory pick up the 621 tune and copy your VE/timing and everything else to the new map.

If it's a new bike and under warranty don't stuff around on here just take it back and make them fix it under warranty. For the amount of money they cost they should be able to start under water

Thanks fatbat I wasn't sure what to tell the dealer but thanks to brash I have ammo to throw at them. Funny thing when I brought the bike I even got extended warranty lol

If you take it back hot and show them they should do the update for you

They know about the issue, it takes 30 seconds to flash the update.
But, when I last checked the SERT 621 update was for stock bikes (not stage 1)

After them thinking that I don't know what I'm on about, they called me back and told me there was an open recall on my bike, thats funny why wasn't it.done when I brought it in may, then they told me to take it in and will take an hour or so to re flash ecm

Hi brash I think you are right about there being no fix for stage 1 but I'll let them take a look at it anyways it's under warranty thanks for your help

Hi guys thanks for all the help brash just went down to dealership And they put new map on my tuner the click you were talking about I can now hear it when u turn ignition on and off, so the is a sert 621 stage 1 update for fatboy s I'm happy happy

Hm, my 110 does the same no hot start thing occasionally. Tune says the comp release is turned on. Never heard any clicks though.

RatRob there is a stage 1 621 update I can now here the click when turn ignition on if u have tuner it's on the se software app, also turns over very easy now haven't tried it hot yet haven't had a chance to.
