    Howdy all,
I know that there is a million different aftermarket springer front-ends out there of varying qualities.

Being new to this scene I am doing a lot of reading for a Bobber project I am working on and I am hearing that not many if any of the aftermarket front-ends out there stand up to the quality and ride of HD's OEM versions. I am keen to hear from anyone who has used aftermarket springer front ends on bikes and what their experiences are?

    Thanks in advance

Led Sled and Paughco make good ones.

Lots run the DNA/Attitude/etc springers made in China with varying levels of success. There has been some failures but that can go for any fork when given a big enough hit. The problem with the cheap springers is the terrible ride and squeaks/rattles they give.

As above, there are 2 types of HD springer, look for the straight leg. The Offset one can work well but depends on the rake of the frame in the neck. Can give a real odd look once assembled plus some interesting handling.

My recommendation is to spend a bit more, look at some of the US manufacturers who do custom lengths depending on your frame and look. They can do wide/narrow/brakes you name it.
