Extended cabling/wiring/lines for Road King Apes

Folks - been looking at various apes to fit to my bike, got a quote from Wackers here in Brisbane and they’ve quoted for all the lower brake lines. I got a similar quote fro Burleigh bars and their cabling kit doesn’t include the brake line lowers. Looking at my 17 FLHR, I cant see why the HD dealer (Wackers) would need to change the lower lines out. Seems to me The Burleigh Kit is all I need.

Could anyone else who’s done similar comment on why the lower lines might need to be replaced at bar swap time?

Hey Dunno if my question is not worded right but the front brake line on any recent Road King has a banjo at the bar and a metal line connector mid line. The lower brake lines run from this point. Why would I need to change the lowers?
Has anyone done Apes themselves without changing lower brake lines?

On the non abs 17's the line is all in one,

maybe that what they talk'n about.

Your setup sounds like the ABS line.

So with a 17 King, which has ABS, can I take it the brake line lowers are not required to fit Apes?
    Anyone?

Hey Oz Dan, can't help with RK question mate, but previous bike I put apes on I ordered everything thru Rollies who had a good handle on what was needed and what wasn't.
Loftybob fitted Apes to his RK, maybe PM him.
    Good luck.

Just to put this one to bed, anyone putting Apes on a ABS equipped Road King does not need to replace brake lower and brake lower mid lines. Only uppers are required. Dealers appear to just add them into the work order but it’s an extra $350 which isn’t required. Hope this might help someone else down the line.

Actually, it's all coming back to me now! Floriade 2016/2017 Very tidy bike / colour and even nicer in the sunlight. How's the PV going. Sorted out the fuel usage yet.
