Last road trip back from Edenhope, I filled up at Keith and rode to my house 232km on a single tank.  And my range reported around 45km left.  I've been getting around 280km safely with the 17L tank.  That was with around 12kg of luggage.  I suspect though that my range function reports a little on the conservative side.  If I pushed it, I think I could get 300km's.

My old forty eight with hammer performance cams + heads would get 60-70km before light came on, after 85-90 you were on borrowed time. 7.9L peanut.
