Tonga beat New Zealand 28-22 in one of the best league matches of 2017. Beaten the Kiwi’s for the first time ever.

And to hear the Tongan supporters singing for most of the second half was magic.

The Tongans were paying $4 odds too.

    Good work lads.

Watched the Tonga-Lebanon game. Great effort by both teams and the Lebs did themselves proud and nearly got the win. They played with real heart.

The Tongans were lucky in the end, particularly since they didn’t have a kicking game for much of the 80 mins.

Big game this arvo lads — Tonga v England for the right to go into the final.

It’s been a magic run for Tonga so far. The odds are against them, but if they turn up and play their best the Pom’s won’t know what just went over the top of them.

Yep, after writing previously how good the refereeing has been in RLWC, an Australian ref does what NRL refs do best — arrogantly choke.

Tonga were inspirational. I can’t believe I became a Andrew Fifita fan. Tonga was that good when it mattered!

Got to agree, Tonga could have taken it out of the officials hands though.....

...yeah you are right but I wouldn’t want to change those last 3-5 mins, except the bloody ref call.

Disappointing end aside, I’m betting Tonga is very proud of where they got to. They and the Lebs have been the teams of the comp, for mine.

     Tonga were very unlucky
