Steering’s out

I had a puncture on the weekend and had to have my bike towed to get it repaired.
After getting my bike back, I’ve noticed that the handlebars are out slightly, from the way it was tied down on the truck.
I’ve been looking at a lot of videos on YouTube and there appears to be a bit of a difference on opinions on what to loosen. Having said that, I couldn’t really find any helpful videos for straightening up Harley steering.
From what I can see, you definitely need to loosen the bottom trees and bounce on the handlebars.
Where it becomes unclear, is whether you need to loosen the top nut and the axles nuts?

Is anyone able help steer me in the right direction? (2010 Softail Custom)

    Thanks heaps!

a good way of checking the trueness of the triple trees is to remove the forks and put them back
if the trees are correct, the fork should slide up easily into position through the lower tree into the upper tree. If out they will not go in so easily

for the handlebars, loosen the risers from below and let them settle and torque evenly, they should kind of self centre

sounds like it was tied down too hard and pulled out of alignemnt

I had a similar issue with my 07 fatboy. The bars weren't quite square with the front end/forks. All i did was put the bike on full lock to the opposite side to the issue   ie if the bars were to the left i went full lock to the right. Gave it another good shove while on full lock and bingo. Fixed. Hope this helps if thats what your problem is.

I have seen the way they tried to tie down Chinas bike on a Tilt tray, a contraption that goes
on each hand grip and pulls back to the opposite side and down, you could see the bars flexing
if not about to bend, this guy got the arse real quick, so my guess bent bars.
