    im considering the same thing as well for my Fatboy
    If I end up doing it may just bite the bullet and get the HD kit

    I went down the same road with my 2012 fatty.
    Got a set off a mates softy standard and fitted them only to find that they are not any more forward than the boards.
    Less scraping though.
    I suggest you go sit on or ride a softail before you fit them because you may want to go for an extended set if you are looking to stretch out.
    I went back to boards and moved them out an inch and forward an inch and put highway pegs on which allows me to move my feet around on the long runs.

    Looks good paz. Worked out well with you blokes living nearby to each other. You don't waste any time turning the spanners do ya haha

    Ya got that right fatbat, usally there's  nothing in townsville. My missus says the same thing to lol
