Genuine HD , from a dealer near you ! ( if there is one of course !)

Deka a close second ( they make the "genuine HD batteries" anyway !

"Battery World" is where I bought a new Deka, when the local dealer was out of batteries. You got a Battery World in Alice Bloo?

Have had Genuine for many years, seem to me last 3 to 4 years on trickle charger.
But, next time go the dark side and getting a Lithium......
Ahhhh, won"t be around for too long to see the world "Light Up" on the shit we leave!
Seriously, I do wonder for younger souls, stuff we have left in a mess, I digress.
    Lithium if can.

My stockie lasted 9 years then bought a higher CCA Deka from batteriesonline.com.au, heaps more cranking power, even if I forget to push in my decomp valves this turns over my engine effortlessly where my stock battery wouldn’t

Battery World here on the Sunny Coast was more expensive for the Deka than Genuine. After reading up I went the genuine.

    Just my $0.02 cents

    Cheers

OK , many are saying SSB

But which one ? I mean maker's model number or whatever

Type and description would be good of possible

Genuine HD there is only the one option for Softails I believe ?

Yes I would go genuine too. And this is what they look like...part number visible.
This ripper lasted over 9 years, and that is pretty good. It's from a 2008 softail Bloo. No mention on it about CCA though.
I thought the genuine ones were Deka but there is nothing on this one to suggest it is. I just checked.
Also looked at the new deka I put in for a replacement. It says 310 CAA. This might mean I am an idiot.

from what i've read up on for softails, buy HD.
they are made to cope with the temperature from the oil tank etc.
i run HD batteries, no issues

You won’t go wrong with the ssb   I have two in two softails and in appearance it looks more like a Oem hd battery than a deka
And if you where to pull the label of  ssb and the HD one didn’t have the bar and shield you would swear there the same battery
And  If you believe that there is a special battery for softails  ???????? HD don’t make battery’s just like oil ,plugs  and
the other stuff on there bikes other companies make it for HD  with there logo that’s why we pay the extra for HD tax I’ll be
Surprised if your not happy with the ssb cranking power

So I put my new battery in today connected it up fob alarm and headlight work fine kicked her in the guts and will not start just turns over
but not starting. If this was a car or my lawn mower I would pour petrol into the carbi to start it. What do I do: also should my wire start to smoke after about 3 start attempts
