I am lucky enough to own a StreetGlide and a 1200gs. Each bike brings something different to the table for me. My Gs has taken me places that you would never consider on the Street Glide and my Streetglide has ticked off many a back to back 1000klm day fuss free. On our z grade back roads that Gs and the electronic suspension is lux....the Streetglide will still do it but certainly slower and with more savage suspension bangs. My GS is a better alrounder for me and can get a wriggle on when you want it too. A lap of the map on the highway....Streetglide for me....a lap of the map with some shortcuts thrown in....GS for me.

Nice bit of kit that Jay Dee. The adventure segment is very active at the moment with plenty of choices from soft roaders to serious of roaders like this and from KTM etc.

Thought I might have seen more GSs on my trip since they've become a popular surrogate tourer, but didn't see any. Saw only various Harley's on the Newell.

I am not all that surprised Steve when you read on their forum about what polish to use or if its a warranty because there's a stone chip on the crash bar. Think many of them don't get used very often as you see plenty with very low klm and descriptions mentioning "never been offroad" Your Victory would have seen a shit load more dirt that most GS's.

Did actually see one R18 at Moonie pulled in for fuel, about as loaded for a quick trip as I was.

    145HP! FFS!

A Ducati multistrada is 170hp......and their Panigale V4 R with race kit has 234hp, a street registered bike.

This might be interesting if you like Chinese bikes.

We had a Cf moto 850mt with us for the Cape York run.....ran faultlessly other than requiring the chain to be adjusted during the trip. Nothing fell of, broke or shit itself. This concept bike looks like it could be a good thing if its going ahead but its hitting a pretty competitive market place.

seriously thinking of a cf 800mt,they have a lot of handy things standard.....how much value in theses bikes will remain to be seen, but those who have them [ from forum reading ] are very happy with them.still got a lot of homework on the market offerings to do yet.

    Nobody  likes Chinese bikes.
I can think of only three  reasons why anybody would buy one.
1- you cant afford to buy something better.
    2- you are a gook.
3- I cant think of a third reason. Oh thats right ! If you are a dumb cunt.
    Just thought of another reason
4- if you have lost all self respect.
