1959 Panhead Duo Glide. New paint about 2 years ago, Full WA registration, new tyres, Velva Touch lifters and blocks.

Selling as I don't have time to ride it, and I could use the money for other projects.

Many ( 25+!) years ago I saw a lovely one of these parking up outside a "biker bar" in Venice beach California. sawdust on the floor , jugs of beer , great place !

I was not riding myself , having just got married in Las Vegas and was on honeymoon. I was a full time yank car freak at the time and had a Mustang convertible parked next.

The rego plate on the Harley was 59 DUO (quite good I thought at the time !)

Struck up conversation with the rider as you do , saying " that's 59 Duoglide is it mate ?"

He replies with a laugh , saying " hey Scotty , that's correct , most folks thinks it says 59 DUD "

How funny and self deprecating was that at the time...it was a lovely bike

PS , I've a set of those "repro" tank badges in the shed I think , had them for yonks , was always "gunna" use them haha...

dodgy thanks! your pan sounds like a good set up and could be ridden. my mate rides a panhead and he rides it anywhere and he has been riding that same pan since the 70's drum brakes and all. I can kick start it cold or warm. if I had the room I would buy your pan!! I had vela touch lifters in my shovel they are still in it. they are beautiful!!
