I’d have thought they’d be hard as to get. Everyman would be stitching them into motorbike clothing.

Hey blood. Try the up-market sail makers. The racing yachts use kevlar sails nowdays & there would be trimmings when making jibs & spinnikers

Now bd you may be onto something here.
As if I have to go down the road for stuff, it takes me longer to gear up, get bike ready than to drive there. 10 minutes away from everything where I live, so consequently end up taking the bloody truck, as so much easier.
Never worn shorts on bike in nearly 50 years of riding, but I absolutely understand where your coming from...

Its a good idea indeed. Just a few small things, although kevlar has the ability to slow the heat transfer to your leg it also is very slow to dissipate the stored heat

When I have kevlar jeans I can touch the pipes and no problems
When I were shorts althow I try but just that slight touch and yep a nother burn
This happens mainly when parking the bike or rolling the bike from parking

Did you find some Kevlar? I'm looking for something to stop my arm getting burnt on the whippersnipper exhaust.
been using one of those medical elbow joint support thingies but it is getting holes burnt in it, -no heat resistance
