Thinking of taking myself and my Fat Bob from Sydney to Adelaide and back in the next week or so, but I don't have a lot of time.  Thinking of a longer way round to come back but as much as I would like to, I can't spend weeks out there soaking up the coast roads ...
Has anyone else done the 1400kms in 2 days (through Hay) and survived, or does it really need another night?

Toby Toby Toby ,,,,, If you are on a promise, and  have to get there that quick ,,, buy a cheap fucking air ticket and be done with it .....  When you get home, ride up and down the Hume for a couple of days ...

I do Adelaide - Goulburn - Adelaide 5 times a fortnight. It’s reasonably easy in a truck but I’m not sure I’d really dig it on a bike. But having said that, I have zero biking experience ;-)

2 days easy, if I was you I would aim for balrenald first night , make an easy day 2, good pub there also a good motel .bout 800 ks or so, if ya don’t get that far, pull up at hay, roughly half way and still easily make Adelaide

Hay has a cellar on the main road that has a pretty good port if you like that kind of drop

I have done Adelaide - Sydney in the 2 days easy riding, cruising with the wife, she was on her tricycle towing a trailer

Thanks everyone, your input is appreciated - great community you have going here!
To wrap it up, I have flights so won't be doing the long haul - this time.  Will make more time in the near future to do it properly and comfortably with lots of scenery and the fun roads :)
