Made a last minute decision to joint this adventure. My third Edenhope. Met Tim, Action, Wingers, and Bob at the OTR bottom of the freeway. Made a quick uneventful trip to Tailem Bend when we met up with AndyK. From there on to Keith where we somehow lost AndyK at a servo. We continued on to Tailem Bend for fuel and a short trip over the border to Frances where China and Mickle were already enjoying a cooling beverage. Had an OK pub meal and continued on to Edenhope. Tim, Action and AndyK to the Hotel and Bob, Wingers, Mickle, CB and I on to the caravan park. I was pleased to accept Bobs offer of one of the rooms in his cabin. We were soon joined by Krackers. We all headed off to the pub for tea and were joined by Ralphski, AndyK, Bacamick and Di (the hotel owners and organiser) who warmly welcomed us. We had a few drinks and a very pleasant meal. I hit the sack early.
On Saturday, we started early with a great breakfast at the bakery with a 300 odd K trip without Tim, Action and Andy up into the Grampians led ably by CB and tail end charlie’d by Mickle to ensure we “didn’t get lost” Wingers and I somehow did. A quick call to CB had him travel quite some distance at quite some speed to recover us from a lonely intersection in the middle of nowhere. Up into the Grampians, through the beautiful Zumsteins and on to Halls Gap where we fueled up again. (the others were already busy goofing off waiting for us)
After that we headed off for a wild, quick and scenic trip to Harrow for lunch. It was an incredible adrenaline inducing journey. High speed secondary roads in excellent lonely countryside. The tourers were really on song, and those with more rudimentary suspension found themselves doing crusty demon style acrobatics over bumps on some goat tracks we found ourselves on at one stage.
I can tell you that the fuel economy back from Halls Gap to Edenhope was shocking. Everyone retired to their respective accommodation and congregated later at Mickles cabin. Whilst debriefing the days ride, BruceFXDL, his wife and later a member called Stewy turned up. Had some drinks and a BBQ cook up courtesy of Bob at the Caravan park before heading back to the Hotel for more camaraderie and BS over the benefits or otherwise of tourer V non tourers.
Q\ What’s the difference between tourer riders and non tourer riders? A\ A tourer rider doesn’t care if you don’t ride a tourer.
Wingers, Bob and Ralphski, left early Sunday with Tim and Action and I said farewell to CB, Mickle and AndyK at the bakery and eventually caught up with the others at Tailem Bend. I know Mickle and CB took plenty of pics
I had a great time. The new M8 ultra was sensational. I recommend EVERY member make an effort to come to Edenhope or at least one organised forum ride. You’ll enjoy it.
    Edit: Attendance

    SA 8

Sounds like you guys had a good time. Went through Edenhope on the way home from Vic and NSW on Sunday but didn't see anyone around. Stopped at 11am for the Memorial then on some back roads through to Naracoorte. Up to Keith for a pie at the bakery then home along to Adelaide along the main road.

Hope to catch up with everyone on a ride soon.

Second that Steelo. Excellent write up.
Just like the Aussie cricket team, Vics defeated by SA in the numbers count.

Funnily enough. With all the bikes parked outside the Harrow Hotel on display. The only ones that attracted attention from a couple young lads on a bus tour, were the 2 soft tails. (especially Ralphskis pimp mobile)
