Greenslip rip off or what?

    Pissed off. How can a motorbike cost $660 to register in NSW for 1 friken year? Friken ripped off or what?
    $128 for rego renewal.
    $532 for greenslip? WTF. GIO.

    I recently seen on TV an add for greenslip rebates application form so I googled what it was about the govnment reformed the price for I think 2017 & if you have renewed yours from a certain date you can get a bit back, here`s the kicker motorcycles have No rebate !....WTF

    "Why aren’t motorcycle prices coming down?
    Prices for motorcycle Green Slips will not be reduced when the new scheme starts.
    In 90% of accidents involving motorcycles, the rider was not able to make a full CTP claim because they are deemed to be at-fault (e.g. there is no other vehicle involved to make a claim against).
    Under the new CTP scheme, at-fault motorcyclists will be eligible for medical and income benefits for up to 6 months. So while their Green Slip prices will not go down, the amount of financial and medical support provided to around 1,400 at fault motorcyclists each year will be much greater.
    Injured motorcyclists who were not at fault with more than minor injuries can receive benefits beyond six months."

    On a brighter note, I just claimed the CTP refund for vehicles that is available to us lot in NSW. $76.85 back in the hand. ( well the account in 5 days at least)
    WOO HOO, the gumverment gave me some money back,yeehaa. I'm rich blah blah blah......
