No have not used that one in motor , just thought I would say I would not use it in primary, trans. best oil I have used in primary, trans is Redline MT it's beautiful !! shift's smooth & clutch works nicely with that oil too. but I have had trouble finding it for sale ( you might be able to buy online ) so I have been using Belray in primatry that works well, clutch works well with it & shifting ok ( just nothing I have used comes close to Redline MT in sportster primary!! )
Last year I rang Penrite and asked them if it was OK to use 20W50 Full Syn in my 2009 Fatboy. Yep no probs at all, I use it in both the engine and primary, Gearbox I use Penrite Pro Gear 75W-90. Gear box needs Gearbox oil. Fatboy has been running great.
I used this product (mineral) can’t find any problem with it and pricewise excellent , maybe next oil change I’ll try the synthetic
How many K's do you do on the Redline heavy shock proof gear oil, I was going to do mine at 20 000k intervals, and yes I have been using the MC-4 20w50 syn in my Wideglide for over 15 000k's now, along with the 10w50 semi-syn in the primary(clutch)
Why use the lightweight....I use heavy duty shockproof in the tranny??
heavy duty is the correct one for the V twin gearbox
he has all of them, also mobil vtwin and amsoil products........just giving the Vic contact thats all.....
For the people in Sydney a place called GL Lubricants at Regents Park has a whole bunch of different lubricants as well...Also they have Ebay account
I use this in the ultra. I changed it today. This has done approx 24-25000ks. Still like new. Next time i will change it after another 40000 ks i think. Absolutly no metal on the magnet either. Bloody good stuff for the box.
Ha I see now what you mean Mr cryptic Steelo. Yes when the oil gets low, the top goes clear.
Very similar colour in that pic hey?
