Upcoming site changes, better control of your data, quote changes and more.

    There will be some new features in an upcoming release that I'm working on: 

    Better control of your data:
    - Users will be able to delete their own posts in a thread.
    - Users will be able to delete all their posts via their profile page.
    - Users will be able to delete their own accounts via their profile page. For security reasons, this will work on time delay. User flags their account
    for removal. The removal will then happen in 5 days. User can cancel before the removal happens.
    - If you start a topic, you will be able to edit the title.

    New quote system
    - The old method of quoting posts was bad. Quote text was simply copied into the new post. Quotes of quotes was unlimited and messy.
    When the original post was deleted, the quote remained.
    - The new quoting will reference the original post. You will not be able to edit the quote. And there will be a limit of three quotes displayed on a post.
    - If the quoted post is deleted, it will also disappear from where it was quoted.
    - Quotes will contain a last edited date to indicate whether the original post was modified since being quoted.

    Major content shuffle, the following forum merges and renames will occur:
    - "Off topic - public" => "Off topic members only"
    - "Harley Davidson Bikes" renamed to "Motor Cycles"
    - "Motorcycles - other" => "Motor Cycles" section
    - "Customs Choppers" => "Motorcycles - other"
    - Dyna => "Older Models"
    - VRSC => "Older Models"
    - "Classic Harleys" => "Older Models"
    - "Rides & Events" renamed to Events
    - "Interstate Rides" => Events
    - SA, WA, NSW, VIC, => Events
    - TAS,ACT, NT => Events
    - New Events section will contain one forum for events, but will now display upcoming events cards which are currently in the bottom right of the home page.

    Minor changes:
    - When viewing an image via the image gallery you can copy the link, to use that image on other sites.
    - When you edit a post, you now jump to that post when saved.

    The changes will be deployed in the next week or two.

    with the new "quote" changes, will there still be all the pics copied every time people quote the same

    Just a suggestion KC,
    maybe rename the Car Forum to Jay Lenos Garage......... :-)
