Just got myself one , Always liked the 80's style muscle bikes , thev'e stopped making them , Peter Stevens having a run out sale on the last of them 2016 stock ,  first impresions , Look Good , Go like a shower of shit ,  handle real well ,, I should be stoked , Except , I DON'T LIKE IT  HA HA .... I like everything about it , except i fucked up   , I forgot why i stopped riding this style of bike years ago , , i've got pinns in the shoulders , so it hurts leaning over , put risers on , but don't help much, I got dodgy knees so Knees  bent,  hurts ...

Bikes gonna be awsome for running around the hills for a couple of hrs ,  only problem is i already have a v strom for playing  , I fucked up LOL teach me to buy a bike without a test ride , HA HA

Wifes gone out and bought me some asprins , she reckons i just got to take them with some cement , Because according to her , I'M KEEPING IT ,   her excact words were  you did'nt need 3 bikes  anyway , But since you got rid of the only one I ( she) liked (rocket 3 ) ,  , I'm a selfish cunt and  so thats that she says ,  you wanted it , now get fucking used to it . Bit of a bully my missis , .
Still not a bad problem to have ,

Update on this bike , Took me a while to get used to it , leaning over  , still can't ride it for more than 150 klm before i need to get of and stretch for 10 minuites , then i'm fine to go again , But fook its a fun bike , looks good , and handles well  , for my usual 2-300 klm loop , depending on the mood  , its my bike of choice , , just love  the smoothness of it , poor old  low rider is starting to feel neglegted , it tends to get left at home now  LOL

I owned a  xjr1300sp in glorious old school yellow paint  scheme from 2001-2005 and absolutely loved it.  Nice upright riding position, tonnes of low end torque.  Fantastic all rounder.  And handling was very light and manouverable...  I wish I still had it.  Although I think the Suzuki gsx1400 would of been a better alternative

Yeh , I always liked that suzuki gsx ,   used to think xjr or gsx  and always came back to the gsx , although i did like the xjr , But i could'nt find one that was low mileage and mint condition and when i did occasionaly find one , they wanted a fortune for them , someone forgot to tell the owners they were not collecters just yet ... But the xjr came about by accident really  seen them on speciell  and just made a call  expecting to  be offered fook all for my trade , but the (peter stevens ) came back with a trade in price i would of been stupid not to accept , for me  great bike lots of fun , but definetly not a long distance bike  250 -300 klm a day is my absolute limit on it , shoulders play up and knees lock up ,  but if the erogonamics of the bike suited you it would make a awsome touring machine has well ,

Ive never ridden a GSX actually.

But hey, the XJR is so awesome who cares.
Those yamaha inline 4s are so bullet proof, and a timeless looking machine... what a great bike!

Have an xjr that's my ride to work bike but is a fabulous tourer too. Owned it for nearly 20 years & no probs until starter played up recently. Pulled apart & just gummed up brushes.
It's a great do anything bike that looks great too but I look forward to riding the Harley more, it has more character, sounds like & feels like a beast. Harley gets more attention too & I love polishing it up & riding through the hills, or over to the Island. Cut my teeth on Hondas & Bonnies in Seventies & Eighties, then Kwaka Zeds. Loved them all, never wanted a Harley as they were shit for a while, kept breaking down. But Evos onward started my interest & while I bought the XJR & enjoyed it, I wanted something more & bought a Streetbob. Enjoyed  both & then added a Suzuki TL1000s. Got cleaned up on the Streetbob, fucked my left shoulder & right wrist but had to get back on a bike. Eight months & several surgeries later got back on XJR but had to have another Harley, so looked around awhile & bought a 2006-7 Softail Custom, real low klm, love it. Back in the saddle & got XJR too. Suzuki is gunna go, too radical riding posie for this old bastard. Maybe a Trumpy or 650 Enfield. Fuck this virus, was just getting into riding again & here I am waffling on on my computer to faces I can't see or know. Just enjoy riding lads.
