266 cams with 10.7:1 in a 110" with a decent tune should be a very nice bike to ride ,,but,,, big radius pipes will kill just about anything that was decent in the package.
Big radius on a stock capacity stock cam etc bike does not have a great effect on tune and ride ability. As soon as you add capacity, comp ,duration and overlap the big radius will mess with that combo no end.
We have done engines like the old rubber stamp 103"engine  that have 275cfm+@28"@.600" heads, 10.7:1 comp ,260°+ 600"+ cams,52mm + T/B, with all the associated areas attended to ,these things ride as smooth as you like over the entire rev range with an appropriate exhaust ,,, we have also had these assembled with big radius ,the result is usually a ragged low down behavior and a top number that will not excite anyone least of all the guy who spent the money on the project .
There are a lot of exhaust systems that will make the bike respond to tuning very well , i will leave the choice up to the owner ,,[one mans meat is another's poison] ,
my own bike has stock header staggered duals with balance pipe ,US market rear pipe without butterfly and S&S taper turbos,, a tuners gift!! and its not cop bait when ridden feathered.
But its up to the owner , if he needs big radius to scratch an itch ,so be it , but they come with luggage on a hotrod.

im with you chriso.  i rather ride with someone on a postie bike that throws his leg over for the actually ride, rather than what he looks like.

edit:  im pretty sure funny diesel story i heard involved a breakout.  lol.

I’ll ride with the postie guy too but come on guys, you’re telling me if say Peter Fonda turns up on Captain America, one of the purest form over function bikes ever made, not even a front brake, you ain’t gonna ride with him?
    Naaa your bullshitting me.

Hi Hoodeng, sounds like your building some good things, this bike had 10.5 pistons, not sure if 10.7’s were around in 2014, but your description of how the bike would ride is spot on.
I did like the rest of the bike but yeah, those big radius are crap, way too loud so add a cam swap, pipes and retune and a few other bits, the bike was getting up to 38k. Confess I have big radius on my stock 110 but I’m currently welding up new baffles, aiming for <94Db.
    Cheers.

If you are at 10.5:1 ,and you have a preference to use SE parts ,the 263E cams work really well.

I'm not sure what the wannabe's are chriso, are they the ones that dress up like gay pirates?

If they are then you could probly apply that logic to most HD models lol.

Don't get me started on that tourer crowd......

if your looking for the best of both worlds type cam set might pay to look at TMan 662-2ps2 the cams work very well for a best of both worlds cam set
Just my opinion I do know a few guys that use this cam set and they all swear by them Granted they are on Breakouts so hard riding isn't there thing Tight fast twisty stuff and breakout don't mix im told

This thread is a classic example of what makes this forum so good. There’s always a good mix of opinions, banter and straight up helpful info.

spot on i would ride with him. customised his own bike for himself. not others.  rides for himself. not others. didn’t rely on the MoCo to build him a “custom” harley for him to want to look like a bad ass.  Lol.

I agree they do look pretty spiffy but after seeing some the things that went wrong with the early versions while working for HH in Adelaide I soon steered away from them. No doubt they have rectified a lot of the early issues for the later models but the most common thing we replaced on early versions was front bearings they absolutely chopped out front tyres and the other common thing was the side starter switch. The grub screw that held on the black switch vibrated itself loose and bang the switch would fall off half way through a ride.
