So....I am getting close to finishing off all the mods I wanted to do to my 2016 Fatboy Lo, (I’ll post up all the details with pics, if anyone is interested after I am finished), but I am battling to find a place to mount my horn including the cowbell cover that I really like.
I have relocated my coil with a DK Custom relocation kit to the location where the horn used to be. I temporarily mounted the horn and cowbell in front of the frame, between the down tubes as high up as it could go, and I noticed that the front mud guard travels far enough up (spec says 5.1 inches, whatever the fuck that is in a real unit if measurement) to lightly touch the bottom of the cowbell cover. Also, I test ran it without the engine guard on, if I try to mount the horn and cowbell cover with the engine guard then the horn will be lower and will therefore definitely hit the front mud guard. So then I tired to mount it under the headlight between the forks, and I can see I’ll have the same problem, I.e. the front mud guard will hit it!

Now thing is I like the look of the cowbell, and Legally i have to have a horn, but I’m stuck for ideas, do any of you have and ideas and maybe pictures as to where I could fucken mount this bloody thing?

If all else fails, I’ll mount the horn that came with the coil relocation kit, in the freight train nacelle I’ve installed, but then the cowbell cover gets resigned to the storage box!
